James Lavelle says:

“UNKLE has always been a multi-sensory creative project, ranging from genre-defining music to cutting-edge visual art. It therefore feels incredibly fitting to celebrate UNKLE’s past, present and future in Soho, where it all began, with an immersive show at the much-loved Lazarides. The exhibition is a collaboration between a number of very talented artists, presenting everything from paintings, videos, artefacts and film screenings; this is the definitive UNKLE experience. I look forward to welcoming visitors to daydream with us.”

New Album: Keaton Henson – Birthdays (2013/02/25) [Full Album Stream]

:: Incredibly poignant and fragile. I cath myself holding my breath when I’m listening to Keaton’s music!

Following the beautiful Sweetheart, What Have You Done To Us released last

November, Lying To You is the second single that is taken from the upcoming sophomore album by London’s singer, songwriter and illustrator Keaton Henson. His new effort is entitled ‘Birthdays’ and will be released February 25, 2013 via Oak Ten Records (Sony Music UK). The record is produced by Joe Chiccarelli (The White Stripes, The Strokes, The Shins). The Deluxe Edition of ‘Birthdays’ – limited to 196 units – comes with three bonus tracks, an extended booklet, fold-out art print and an hand-painted piece of art. Keaton will be therefore creating a huge piece of art that is chopped up into 196 pieces. Preorder all versions here. The single will be released one week before the album, on February 18. I hope for an official video to be coming soon since the last ones were nothing but brilliant. Keep your eyes peeled for more.

Update: ‘Birthdays’ is now streaming in its entirety via Keaton Henson’s Youtube channel. Every song is featured by an unique illustration by a different artist. Listen to all ten songs here.

:: Feeling this song!

Sweetheart, What Have You Done To Us is the first song to be taken from the sophomore album by 24-year-old illustrator, singer and songwriter Keaton Henson from London, UK. Keaton Henson – Small Hands [Official Video] / To Your Health [Random Acts]

:: These songs just leave me speechless.

These two stunningly beautiful songs are taken from the debut album of Keaton Henson. The record entitled ‘Dear…’ was released on April 02, 2012 via Oak Ten Records. Keaton Henson is a London-based, multi-talented artist. His designs and illustrations of shirts, skateboards and record cover art as well as stage settings are much in demand. With ‘Dear…’, debutes as a singer and songwriter who captures with his fragile voice and introspective, very personal folk compositions. Watch above the official video for Small Hands. It is written and directed by Joseph Mann employing beautiful puppets by Jonny Sabagh.

A couple of days ago, the new video for To Your Health premiered on Channel 4.  It shows Keaton Henson performing his song in the background while ballet dancer Elizabeth Harrod is perfoming a very fragile dance. The video is directed, produced and edited by William Williamson for Channel 4’s Random Acts Short Films Series-
