Debut Album: James Bay – Chaos And The Calm (2015/03/23) / New Single ‘Scars’ / New Music Video for ‘Let It Go’

:: Critics seem to be divided by James Bay’s debut full-length, but I think it’s a pretty great album.

Chaos And The Calm is officially released worldwide today (March 23, 2015) via Republic Records / Universal Music. The set of twelve tracks on Standard Edition and sixteen tracks on iTunes Deluxe Edition is available as download, CD and 12″ vinyl LP. You can buy digitally from iTunes/Amazon/Google Play or order your physical copy of Chaos And The Calm from Amazon.

After three EP’s released so far over the past two years, James Bay recorded his debut full-length at Blackbird Studios in Nashville with producer Jacquire King. Bay has gained a lot of attention lately, especially after arriving second on the BBC’s esteemed Sound of 2015 longlist.

The album release was preceded by last year’s lead singles Let It Go and Hold Back the River. Both tracks come with music videos: the clip for Let It Go is directed by Daniel Kragh Jacobsen and premiered also today, the official video for Hold Back the River is directed by Mathy & Fran – watch them both above.

James Bay is playing twelve UK shows in shows and string of 13 North American concerts in late April/Early May before he returns to Europe for more dates and festival season. Most of the tour is sold out, but there are still tickets left for some shows. Check out the upcoming dates below and listen to new single Scars.
