New Album: To Kill A King – To Kill A King (2015/03/02) / First Single ‘Love Is Not Control’ [Official Video]

:: Not totally convincing as the predecessor, but still a very enjoyable record!

London-based alternative rock outfit To Kill A King have returned with their self-titled sophomore LP, their first release since last year’s EP Exit, Pursued By A Bear. After three changes in lineup over the past two years, the band is now comprised of Ralph Pelleymounter [vocals/acoustic guitar], Ben Jackson [synth/keys] as well as new members Peter Hakola [bass], Josh Taffel [drums] and Grant McNeill [electric guitar].

To Kill A King was released in the UK/Europe on March 02, 2015 via Xtra Mile Recordings. The album is available as digital download, CD and 12″ vinyl LP. You can buy digitally from iTunes/Google Play/Amazon or order your physical copy directly from the band’s official store.

The follow-up to the band’s 2013 debut album Cannibals With Cutlery is produced by long-term collaborator Mark Crew (Bastille) and the band’s Ben Jackson. To Kill A King was recorded both the Distillery in the West Country and a studio at the top of the hill in Wiltshire, as well as stints at Crew’s basement studio in Battersea and late night sessions at frontman Pelleymounter’s flat.

Love Is Not Control was the first single taken from To Kill A King. The Music video for the song is directed De La Muerte and produced by Rise Media – check it out above. To Kill A King are touring the UK and Europe all March. Check out the upcoming dates below and listen to the album track The Chancer.
