New Album: Echo Lake – Era (2015/03/02) [Full Album Stream]

:: Another LP you definitely shouldn’t miss!

Echo Lake are London-based songwriters Thom Hill [guitar] and Linda Jarvis [vocals/keys] together with their band Will Young [bass] and Dayo James [drums]. The alternative rock outfit released their debut LP Wild Piece in 2012, overshadowed by the death of original drummer Peter James. Hill and Jarvis spent the past two years withdrawn working on new music. The results will be out only next week in shape of the band’s sophomore LP Era, but you can take a full listen right now.

Era drops officially in the UK/Europe next Monday (March 02, 2015) via No Pain In Pop. The set of seven tracks will be available as download, CD and 12″ vinyl LP. You can buy digitally from iTunes or order your physical copy of Era directly from No Pain In Pop.

The album of (unfortunately only) seven tracks is streaming in full over at the band’s Soundcloud. Echo Lake recorded Era over the past two years together with producer Misha Herring at his Holy Mountain Studios in Hackney. It was the first time for Echo Lake to wortk with an outside producer. The album was mixed by Timothy Stollenwerk at Stereophonic Mastering in Portland, Oregon.

Waves is the album’s lead single, the music video for the song is directed by Rob Heppell, watch it above. Echo Lake have only a handful of UK live shows coming up, check out the dates below.
