Debut Album: Goodnight Lenin – In The Fullness Of Time (2014/11/24) / First Single ‘You Were Always Waiting’ [Official Video]

:: An album you definitely should check out.

Goodnight Lenin are John Fell [vox/guitar], Liam Conway [vox/guitar], John Joe McCreedy [vox/keys/violin/mandolin), Matt Sherlock [bass] and Sam Berry [drums/percussion] from Northfield in England’s West Midlands. The five had already known each other since childhood before they started Goodnight Lenin, the band title referring to Fell’s favourite movie: the German film Goodbye, Lenin. After touring with UK bands such as British Sea Power and Dry the River over the past two years, the five-piece finally released their long expected debut album In The Fullness Of Time two weeks ago. It’s the follow-up to Goodnight Lenin’s 2012 debut EP A Winter’s Night.

In The Fullness Of Time was officially released on November 24, 2014 via Static Caravan Records. The album is available as digital download, CD and 12″ vinyl LP. You can buy digitally from iTunes or order your physical copy from Goodnight Lenin’s Store. The album was mixed by no other than folk musician and Father John Misty collaborator Jonathan Wilson.

The amazing music video for the album’s first single You Were Always Waiting is filmed and directed by Paul McHale, check it out above. Below, you can take a listen to my favourite album track, Old Cold Hands.
