New EP: The Staves – Blood I Bled (2014/10/24) / New Track ‘Open’ / New Video for ‘Blood I Bled’

:: Absolutely terrific, these new Justin Vernon-produced Stavely sisters!

The Stavely-Taylor sisters Emily [vocals], Jessica [vocals/guitar] and Camilla [vocals/ukulele] from Watford in England’s Hertfordshire county debuted in late 2012 with Dead & Born & Grown, a fantastic album of folk-rock songs. For their sophomore LP, the sisters who simply go by the name The Staves on stage have now teamed up with US musician and producer Justin Vernon, better known by his Bon Iver moniker. Not only is he producing the album, but they also recorded the four-track EP Blood I Bled. It’s out today in Germany and it’s (please excuse the word play) bloody brilliant.

Blood I Bled is officially released in the UK/Europe on October 27, 2014 via Atlantic Records / Warner Music Group. The EP is available as download, CD and 10″ vinyl EP You can buy digitally from iTunes or order your physical copy of Blood I Bled from The Staves Store.

Open is the second track taken from Blood I Bled, listen above. The official video for title track and first single Blood I Bled is directed by Nick Rutter. The Staves are currently concluding their UK/Ireland tour, watch the Blood I Bled video and check out the remaining dates below.
