California twosome Joseph Walker and Iris Belson have released their full-length debut Category 5.The LP follows two fabulous single and you can listen to it in full here. As a recording duo, they go by the name Linus Young which Walker recently explained in a feature for Pop Matters:

Linus Young was a family friend who lived in New Orleans. He was an older gentleman, but decided to stay during Hurricane Katrina. His house ended up flooding and he drowned, and so we picked up that name to keep his legacy alive. He was a very sweet soul. It felt like the right fit.

Category 5 was officially released in North America on October 07, 2014 via The Island Def Jam Music Group. The UK and Europe saw release on October 06, Germany already on October 03. The album is available as digital download only, you can buy your copy from iTunes.

The album is streaming in its entirety above (via Linus Young’s Soundcloud). Take a listen, you won’t regret! The visuals for previous single Fun In The Sun are directed by Dannie Fite and Joe Dietsch – watch the clip below.
