Debut Album: The/Das – Freezer (2014/08/15) / New Single ‘Miami Waters’ [Official Video]

The/Das is the electronica project of former Bodi Bill members Fabian Fenk and Anton Feist. Calling their own sound techno tenderness, the duo is making music since 2012 and so far, they’ve only released the fantastic mini-album Speak Your Mind Speak in April 2013. But as of today, the waiting’s officially over: Freezer, the debut full-length by The/Das, is finally out and it has turned out absolutely great! The duo is growing more and more into a band by integrating Jörg Wähner (Apparat) and Gunnar Spies (Mia.) next to longtime love member Thomalla (Krakatau) into their live sets. The sound has grown to be organic in a technoid frame.

Freezer is officially released in Europe today (August 15, 2014) via Sinnbus Records. The album is available as download, CD and 12″ vinyl LP (including download code). You can buy digitally from iTunes and Bandcamp (for all lossless lovers) or order your physical copy of Freezer directly from the Sinnbus Store.

Miami Waters is the second single taken from Freezer. The single was released alongside a marvellous seven-minute album version on July 17 via Sinnbus. You can buy digitally from iTunes or Beatport. The song comes with an art-heavy music video which probably has no equal. The clip is a collaborate effort of The/Das with Kieran Holencik (crystalmafia) and Alma Frederyke Sauerbrey on camera and it’s produced by Sinnbus. The/Das are playing their record release show tonight at Berlin’s Prince Charles and they’ll be touring Germany in October, including one show in London.
