:: So wonderful. You shouldn’t miss this!
Three years ago, Australian singer/songwriter Stu Larsen decided to leave behind security and comfort for the simplicity of a more easier life as musician on the road – a vagabond. Following his 2009 debut EP The Black Tree, Larsen released another two extended plays over the course of the past three years. In early 2014, he signed to Nettwerk Music Group and the label roaster has now released his Vagabond entitled debut full-length.
Vagabond was officially released worldwide on July 14, 2014 via Nettwerk Records (Germany July 11). The LP is available as download and CD. You can buy the digital album from iTunes or order your physical copy of Vagabond from the Nettwerk Store.
You can listen to Vagabond in its entirety over at Spotify. The album was recorded at Linear Studios in Sydney and co-produced by Chris Vallejo and no one less than Larsen’s good friend and label mate Mike Rosenberg who you might know better by his own stage name Passenger. Rosenberg also contributed guitar and vocals on the recording which was also engineered and mixed by Vallejo. The twelve songs are entirely written and composed by Stu Larsen. They reflect on his life on the road – the beauty of journeys and observations in inevitable contrast to loneliness.
Thirteen Sad Farewells is the second single taken from Vagabond. The song comes with a wonderful music video filmed by Jarrad Seng, watch it above. Stu Larsen has a handful of European shows and festival dates coming up in July. You can check out the dates below and listen to the album’s lead track Skin & Bone.
