New EP: Coasts – Oceans (2014/05/30) / New Track ‘Golden City’

:: Fresh new music from the UK you should check out!

Bristol-based five-piece Oceans was conceived in 2011 in a church crypt and is composed of Chris, Liam, James, David and Ben. The boys try to carry out their musical dream without the aid and limits of a major record company, they debuted last year with a first single and EP and have built a growing fan base in their UK native country with constant touring ever since. Now, Coasts have released their sophomore EP Oceans and it’s absolutely wonderful.

Oceans is released on May 30, 2014 via Tidal Recordings. The EP is available as digital download only, you can buy it from iTunes. The set of six tracks includes two remixes of the title track Oceans and a new edit of the song which had also been Coasts’ debut single (released on February 25, 2013 via Tidal).

Golden City is my favourite track off of the EP. The new edit of Oceans, Golden City and the other two new songs, Tonight and See How, are streaming above (via the band’s Soundcloud). Oceans comes with an official video directed by Duncan Roe. You can watch the clip below and check out the few upcoming tour/festival dates of Coasts.
