New Album: Hundred Waters – The Moon Rang Like A Bell (2014/05/26) [Full Album Stream]

:: Treat your ears with this!

Never heard of Hundred Waters? Well, I at least hadn’t until I stumbled upon their song Xtalk a few weeks ago. The band from L.A., California, and Gainesville, Florida, comprises Paul Giese [guitars/electronics], Nicole Miglis [vox/keys/flute], Zach Tetreault [drums/vocals] and Trayer Tryon [guitars/electronics]. Formed in late 2011, the band is named Hundred Waters as an homage to Austrian painter, architect and artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser. (You might have visited the famous Hundertwasser building if you’ve been to Vienna before.) The band’s eponymous debut LP was released in February 2012. Last week, Hundred Waters released their sophomore LP The Moon Rang Like A Bell and you can listen to it in full here.

The Moon Rang Like A Bell dropped officially on May 26, 2014 via !K7 Records. North American release followed on May 27 via Skrillex’s OWSLA label.  The album is available as download, CD and 12″ vinyl LP. You can buy digitally from iTunes (or Beatport if you prefer lossless files) or order your physical copy from Amazon.

The Moon Rang Like A Bell is streaming in its entirety above (via the band’s Soundcloud). The set of twelve new songs is entirely composed by Hundred Waters and was produced and mixed by the band’s Trayer Tryon.

Cavity was the album’s lead single, the song comes with an official video directed by Michael Langan, watch it above. Hundred Waters will be touring North America extensively in June and July. You can check out the upcoming dates below and listen to Nowhere, the bonus track on the Japanese version of The Moon Rang Like A Bell.
