New Song: Fotoshop – False White Flag

:: Just listened to this one for about an hour or so. Didn’t realise that repeat was activated. Love it!

 

False White Flag is a new song by Helsinki’s dream-pop artist Jarno-Erik Faarinen, known under his stage moniker Fotoshop. His home studio – which is not much more than a simple macbook – serves to make mostly everything connected to his music: from composing, instruments, vocals, programming, mixing, mastering to graphics and some videos. His critically acclaimed debut album ‘Lifeforms‘ has been one of my favourite 2011 records, and this new song is the first teaser of an upcoming EP that will drop before Faarinen will release his sophomore offering later on this year. Nothing’s yet known about the EP title and it’s release date, so keep your eyes peeled for an update. False White Flag was originally composed for another (possible) project of Faarinen called Coke Lightspeed. But he decided to make it a Fotoshop track when this project and the track developed into a similar direction. I hope you like the outcome as much as I do.

This amazing tune was released on the ‘Dreaming Legend EP’ together with the b-side track Ladybug on November 19,  2012 via FVTVR Records. It is the second EP by French dream-pop artist Raphael Pegase who simply uses his last name as stage moniker. The official music video for Dreaming Legend is directed by Paul Jeunet and Alain Goillon. Both songs are composed, recorded and mixed by Pegase at Fvtvr Stvdio & Le Lieu Unique. All instruments by Pegase except additional guitars by Dan Baldwin (Dreaming Legend) and Tristar (Ladybug). Buy the EP on iTunes and listen to the b-side below.

Niki And The Dove is an Electro-Pop duo from Stockholm, Sweden. Even though they are just releasing their full-length debut, Malin Dahlström and Gustaf Karlöf of Niki And The Dove are already featured in the BBC Sound  of 2012 list. Their debut album ‘Instinct’ is officially released today (May 14, 2012) in the UK and Europe via Mercury Records (physically and digitally). The iTunes bonus version comes with four additional tracks, which won’t we available anywhere else. In North-America, ‘Instinct’ will be released via Sub Pop Records on June 12 (digital) and on August 07, 2012 (physical).
