Bad Religion is featured on Frank Ocean’s highly anticipated major label debut. The record entitled ‘channel ORANGE’ will be officially released tomorrow (July 17, 2012) via Def Jam Recordings. It is already available on iTunes since July 10 and will be in stores worldwide tomorrow.
Ocean is the first ever R&B artist who officially outed himself as bisexual in a letter to his fans published via his tumblr page on July 04.This announcement has been speculated to be an enormous publicity effort because it arrived just a couple of days before the release of ‘channel ORANGE’. But, considering the incalculable risk he was taking with his confession in a completely heterosexual music industry, I think it foremost should be regarded as an act of courage and strong character. The record features two songs in which Ocean refers to his sexuality. One of these two is Bad Religion, dealing with unrequited love between two men.
