The xx yesterday announced their highly anticipated sophomore album. The record is entitled ‘Coexist’ and will be released on September 10, 2012 internationally via Young Turks. US release will follow on September 11.
The band writes on their facebook page: “… After a long time on the road, we took a break, created our own studio and wrote these new songs that we’re so looking forward to playing to you. We will be touring throughout the summer and beyond, and hope to play somewhere near you soon. xx The xx”
Last December, they already revealed the fabulous demo track ‘Open Eyes’. On May 18, 2012 the band played a show at Battersea Arts Centre in London, UK. In addition to older songs, they also performed five previously unheard tracks taken from ‘Coexist’. Nothing’s known about the song titles, so they found their way into the internet as untitled, although they probably will be named already. Check out three of them above.
